Henkel recently launched its new products for the GCC market – Combat and Persil Gel from their home care and laundry product lines. The main event was held in Westin Hotel Dubai on January 16, 2011. The German chemical giant appointed Artaaj to organize a turn-key solution which included event planning, RSVP management, hotel and luxury transportation including visa assistance, gala dinner, customized giveaways, entertainment and team-building activities. The guests – Henkel team members and distributors from the GCC countries – were fully engaged with fun outdoor games and classy entertainment performances at the gala dinner.
The group started off in the morning with an exhilarating dune-bashing in Jebel Maliha area. Eight off-roaders took them to the heart of the desert. To add to the excitement, Artaaj had organized challenging games such as obstacle course, blind drive, and cockroach pit which required high-quality teamwork.
After the two-hour long desert thrill, Artaaj transported the guests to the marina of Westin Hotel to enjoy water activities. The fun began when the guests hopped into dragon boats and started racing! The teams realised that it was not just pulling one’s weight, but coordination and timing that were paramount in winning the race. A trip in a catamaran and sumptuous lunch followed the dune-bashing.
The main section of the launch in the evening was conducted with a sit-down, gala dinner. Henkel representatives welcomed the guests with presentations and speeches regarding the company and its products. Variety entertainment with European co-ordinated dancers and an illusionist followed entrancing the guests, who were then invited on stage to shake a leg, making for a jolly evening.
